POSTING!!

People are posting random things here. Lets try and keep things school related shall we? I’ve commented on most of the things and you know if i’m talking to you. I’m not trying to be mean but it’s getting out of hand. Thanks. =D

Upcoming important dates

Hi guys. I just thought that I could whip up a quick dates page. I’ll just put up important things like projects or field trips or stuff like that. If anyone remembers something I forgot go ahead and slap it on here. It shouldn’t be taken off. And I won’t remember everything so I’ll probably need your help. I’ll edit this every once in a while so it’s up to date. I don’t come on very often so I’ll change it when I can. So right now in May, we have the Heifer International trip coming up, along with our science and ELA projects. Well, post comments on whether or not you like this idea and whether I should keep it going. Thanks.

Community Service Group.

Hi guys! I’ve been going to the community service meetings for a little more than a month now, and we’ve been talking about recruiting people. If you need information, go to the school’s front page and click on the picture below the spaghetti and you can blog. It all goes through teachers before it’s posted, though, so don’t try to post something inappropriate, or you’ll get caught. If you join the Community Service Group, you’ll not only get ALL of your hours automatically, but be able to do a hole bunch of fun projects!!! So come to the next meeting! We meet Thursdays, 3:00 to 4:00 after school in Mr.Faber’s room. Be there.

Posting

Hello! :) I’m here to tell you to please not post random things on the Blog. We have had some random posts lately so please don’t post a random thing that pops up into your mind :) thank you

6-8th community service hours/ideas

Hello. I was the only sixth grader at the meeting in the library with Mr. Faber (six of us all together.) We all got one hour of community service hour for attending. It really wasn’t boring at all. we are more of a community service club, and not a way to get more community service so if you would like to attend, I would encourage you to do so. If you don’t want to attend, it would be great if you could feed me ideas on this page. This will be the “Hub of the club” and will have info on when we will meet, Ideas to talk about in meetings and more.

6th Grade is up and running!!

Great job finding your way around the blog this morning, 6th Graders!  I’m sure that like the other classes, you will take off with it and have FUN!!!

Community Service/Service Learning Projects

Good Morning 6th Grades!!

Today, after school, there will be a gathering/information meeting/discussion about community service!  This will be a way for everyone to discuss how to make community service, sometimes called service learning in schools, more meaningful and not just something that you “have” to do before you graduate.

What does community service mean for you?  Have you done community service in the past, separate from what you’ve been doing to fulfill your school requirements?  Post a reply here, sharing your experiences, and how they made you feel and why.

Remember – all posts, whether they are replies or new posts of your own, must be grammatically correct and spelled correctly.  And be sure to use your home row keys and proper typing form while you work!  All posts are monitored!

And by all means…..join us in the library to take part in this important gathering this afternoon after school!!!
