Welcome to our new website!

What a wonderful trip we had on Friday! The weather was warm and the plantation wasn’t too crowded with other schools. There were many ‘Pilgrims’ and Wampanoag folks available to answer our questions and everyone had a fantastic time! Many thanks to Ms. Norman and Ms. Sawyer for accompanying us on our journey.
We are finishing up our Math Unit dealing with word problems. The children have found unknown partners, unknown starts, and solved comparison problems using single and multi-digit numbers. Everyone will take their final test this Wednesday. Then we’ll be working with Geometry for a few weeks. This week’s homework will continue to reinforce our word problem concepts.
Today we enjoyed a story entitled, Across the Wide Dark Sea: A Mayflower Journey. The children could really identify with the young boy in the story who was traveling with his family on the Mayflower. It was great to hear, “We were there!” and “We saw that!” from the children as we read. Aren’t we lucky to live in a state so full of history! Next we’ll begin our Unit on Celebrating Traditions and continue with these stories through December.
Each child chose a Trickster Tale in Library today. This week’s Reading homework will be to: 1. Read their Trickster Tale 2. Complete the Trickster Tale Book Report form 3. Create a project that goes along with their story.
Your child may bring this report and project in as soon as they are done but everyone MUST be done with their Trickster Tale book, report and project by Dec. 10th. If you have any questions just give us a call at ext. 222!
Have a marvelous week!
