Second Semester Projects:

Grade 5 -  Simple Machines and Marble Mania. We have begun Marble Mania end the students have made an inclined plane for their boards, each team should bring a shoe box to put their parts in so they don't get lost!

Grade 6 -  The Design and Construction of The Egg Bash Car. Remember you need to bring supplies from home for your car. Find things that keep your egg from breaking like foam, cotton balls, springs, plastic bottles, rubber bands, to build your car. Remember we have a 12 foot ramp with a cement wall at the end, Pow!
Grade 7 - The Design and Construction of a Truss Bridge and the use of Isometric Drawing and Orthographic Projection. We will test you bridge with static load, the lightest bridge that holds the most weight will have the best ratio and be the winner!

Grade 8 - Adirondack Chairs and the study of Structures and the Forces that they must react to.

             Junior High Mini Courses: open shop projects

During the year we will be setting the shop up to produce Norwegian Prams. This is the boat that I built with students in upstate New York and is pictured above. They are sturdy work boats from the fjiords of Norway.
