Dear KS Families,
Upon returning from the break, we began a month long celebration of reading and Dr. Seuss. Next week we have planned a theme week in which students and teachers in grades K - 3 will participate in a different Seuss related activity each day. Here is a list of each day's book and related activity:
Monday 3/13: Cat in the Hat day: Wear a hat with appropriate words to be read. Take turns reading each others' hats.
Tuesday 3/14: Fox in Sox day: Wear crazy socks with appropriate words to be read. Take turns reading each others' socks.
Wednesday 3/15: Wacky Wednesday: Be your wackiest self... (backwards or mismatched clothes, wacky hairdos, etc.)
Thursday 3/16: Wocket in Pocket day: Wear clothes with pockets. Each teacher will let students know which words to put in their pockets (maybe a rhyme or a few words, etc...) Some teachers are making little pockets for the kids to wear as necklaces that they can carry words in. Students can read their words to each other.
Friday 3/17: The Sleep Book day: Wear your pajamas!
Tuesday, 3/14 is a half day of school for teacher professional development. Students are dismissed at noon. Lunch is served
